- Floors 5 to 9 (Modern and Contemporary department) will be closed from 24/09 to 01/10 and from 11/11 to 12/10/2024 for the dismantling of the “Parcours Mode, design, bijoux” exhibition.

- All exits from the museum are final. If you wish to leave the museum or visit at two different times during the day, you must reserve 2 tickets.

The undisputed king of toys, the teddy bear is invited to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs to tell its incredible story. Born at the very beginning of the 20th century, the teddy bear quickly established itself in the hearts of children, dethroning toys whose existence dates back to antiquity, such as dolls and animals on wheels. Since then, it has become an almost universal symbol of childhood, as well as of tenderness and gentleness. How has the former king of animals, revered for his strength and feared for his ferocity, been transformed into the most popular of toys?

• Arrive 15 minutes early
• Bring proof of entitlement if admission is free, and a business card for all other groups.
